We are looking forward to connecting with many of you at our upcoming events and wanted to share a few important reminders.

Report Cards

Report cards will be going live to families this week and can be accessed through your MY CBE account. If you have any difficulty logging in, please contact the office and we will be happy to assist. As always, if you have questions about your child’s progress, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s teacher.

Pink Shirt Day

Pink Shirt Day will be recognized this Wednesday, February 25. Staff and students are encouraged to wear pink as a visible reminder of our shared commitment to kindness, inclusion, and standing up against bullying.

Winter Ball

Please join us on Thursday, February 26 from 6:00–8:00 pm at University School for our Winter Ball. It promises to be a fun evening for families, with a DJ and dancing in the gym, along with quieter activities in the Learning Commons for those who prefer a calmer space.

Winter Ball University School

A sincere thank you to the many volunteers who have already signed up to help make this event possible. If you are still able to lend a hand, School Council would greatly appreciate the support. You can sign up online or reach out to them directly with any questions about volunteering or the event.

School Council

Our next School Council meeting will take place on March 4. We will be sharing updates about school planning and looking ahead to next year, and we truly value hearing your thoughts and perspectives. School Council is an important way for families to stay connected and involved in our work. We hope you are able to join us and be part of the conversation.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to seeing many of you at the Winter Ball.

Alberta Education and Child Care Assurance Survey

Alberta Education and Childcare will once again conduct its annual survey of grade 4, 7, and 10 students and their parents or guardians. This survey will gather essential information about students’ and parents’ school experiences, helping to drive continuous improvements in our education system. This survey will remain open until March 6th.

Students in Grade 4 will take this survey in class during the week of March 2 - March 6.

Parents or guardians of grade 4, 7, and 10 students should have received an email from School Improvement containing a link to the survey, along with a unique Random-Access Code and detailed instructions.

We strongly encourage all eligible parents and guardians to participate and share their feedback on their children’s education. Survey participants will be asked about various topics, including:

  • creating welcoming, caring, respectful, and safe learning environments;
  • student learning engagement; and
  • parental involvement in children’s education.

If you require a paper survey or one in another language, such as Ukrainian, Punjabi, Cree, Korean, Denesųłįné, Tagalog, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, or Urdu, please reach out to the school via email or phone.

By completing the survey, you are assisting Alberta Education and Childcare, CBE, and our school in identifying both areas of strength and areas that need improvement.

University School Winter Ball

Please join us on Thursday, February 26 from 6:00–8:00 pm at University School for our Winter Ball.

Please note that the deadline to pre-order pizza has now passed. Thank you to everyone who placed an order. Entry to the event is by donation, with a suggested contribution of $20 per family. You may pre-purchase tickets through Healthy Hunger or pay cash at the door that evening. Funds raised will support UES School Council initiatives and activities that directly benefit our students.

This event is hosted by School Council, as a fundraiser for University School. Parents and guardians attending with their children are responsible for supervising their children throughout the event.
