Hello University School Families,

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful Fall Break and also found a meaningful way to honour the sacrifices of our service members over Remembrance Day. Even with the short two-day week before the break, students settled in beautifully, and it has been wonderful to see them return to routines with such ease.

As the weather continues to change, our Lost & Found is growing quickly. Jackets, hoodies, and water bottles are showing up daily. Please take a moment to check with your child to see if anything may be missing and encourage them to have a look. Labelling winter gear is a big help in getting items returned promptly.

If you’re looking to get more involved in the school community, we’d love to have you join us this Wednesday for our second School Council Meeting @ 6:30 pm, followed by a meeting of our Parent Association, whose fundraising efforts directly support our school. A link to the meeting will be sent later this week.

Finally, a quick scheduling note: Conference bookings for November 27 and 28 will be opening soon. Stay tuned for more information.

Wishing everyone a great week ahead!

Lori Bonanno and Jennifer McTighe

Note of Thanks

Hello Volunteers,

A quick note: on behalf of the University Elementary (UES) School Council, a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers and casino advisors who helped make our largest and most significant fundraiser happen! For everyone involved including the parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, to the community members, UES staff, casino volunteer worker applicants, and casino advisors; we really appreciate your time, effort, and support to facilitate this event. Your contribution highlights the vital role that community effort played in our fundraiser, without you we could not have made this happen.
