Dear University School Families,
It was such a joy to welcome students back on Wednesday! The laughter, energy, and smiles filling our classrooms and hallways reminded us just how special our school community truly is.
A highlight of the week was our Halloween parade. It was wonderful to see everyone coming together to enjoy creativity, fun and school spirit.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you for your patience, understanding, and support during the recent teachers' strike. We know the uncertainty was challenging, and we deeply appreciate the flexibility, kindness, and amazing support you’ve shown.
As we settle back in, there may be some adjustments to the school calendar. We’re currently reviewing these details and will share updates as soon as they’re confirmed.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support and for helping make University School such a strong, caring, and connected community. We’re so happy to be back together!
Warmly,
Jennifer McTighe and Lori Bonanno

A Message from School Council - Casino Fundraiser – Volunteers Needed!!
We still need 7 volunteers to fill the remaining spots of our Casino Fundraiser.
University School Council has been awarded casino fundraising dates on Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14 at Elbow River Casino. This is our most significant fundraiser, taking place every 18–24 months.
Currently we have 35 of the 42 roles filled. We still need 7 volunteers to cover shifts over the two days. These are key positions, and we need help from the school community to ensure this event is successful. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up. We're so grateful for your help!!
Proceeds from this fundraiser are used to support and enhance learning for all children at University School. Prior year proceeds added books to the library, Chromebooks and iPads, replaced recess playground equipment and supported school residences; allowing students to experience new activities and learning.
We welcome anyone 18+ from our community of parents, grandparents and friends of University School to help. No prior experience or volunteer clearance is required; we just need your time! We'll even feed you too!
Please assist us by committing to volunteer. Click Signing Up for more information on .
Want to help School Council and the Parent Association raise funds to support our school but can't volunteer on these dates? Please email us at ues.school.council@gmail.com.
