Dear Families,
Thank you to all families who attended our Parent-Teacher Conferences this past week. It was wonderful to connect and celebrate student growth. Your commitment to supporting student learning makes a meaningful difference for our students.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Parent Council for generously providing dinner for staff on Thursday. With a long conference day for teachers, your kindness and support were deeply appreciated.
It’s hard to believe that December is already here! With only three weeks until Winter Break, there is still plenty of time for rich learning and community-building. We look forward to all that our students will accomplish in the weeks ahead.
Finally, a warm thank you to our amazing student teachers, who will complete their time at University School this Friday. We have loved having them be a part of our team. We will miss them but wish them every success as they continue in their teaching journeys.
Warmly,
Jennifer McTighe and Lori Bonanno

Veterans Food Bank Drive
Thank you to all who donated to our Veterans Food Bank Drive. Your generosity and support make a meaningful difference for those who have served our country. We are grateful for our caring school community and the kindness you continue to show.
School Drop off and pick up
Our priority is the safety of all students and parents, including your children, as they arrive at/ leave school. We wanted to remind families of expected safe practices for morning drop off and afternoon pick up, as we have seen an increase in unsafe (and at times illegal) driving habits as the weather has gotten colder. We kindly ask for your help in keeping the corner of the street by the playground clear of all parking, stopping, U-turns, and drop-offs. This area needs to remain open so that traffic, especially our school buses, can turn safely and on time.
Recently, a bus was unable to get around the corner because vehicles were stopped there, resulting in a five-minute delay and causing students to arrive late. More importantly, blocked corners and U-turns create unsafe conditions for drivers, children, and pedestrians. We have a pedestrian crossing just a short distance up the street, and we kindly ask that everyone use it to help ensure safety. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping all our students safe. Your support in following these guidelines is crucial to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
