We hope you all had a wonderful long weekend and were able to enjoy some extra time together. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting week ahead at school. 

Spring Concert

Our Spring Concert will take place this Thursday. During the day, we will hold a matinee/dress rehearsal at 1:00 pm in the gym for all students. 

For the evening performance, students are asked to arrive at the school at 6:00 pm. Doors will open to families at that time, and the concert will begin at 6:30 pm. Families have been encouraged to plan to stay for the full performance. At the end of the concert, students will be dismissed from their classrooms. 

Book Fair

Our Book Fair will be running this week. An Owl’s Nest representative will be at the school Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for in-person sales. Students will have opportunities to visit during the school day, and families are welcome to stop by as well. 

Books can also be purchased online until April 17 using our school’s promo code. The link and QR code shared connect to Owl’s Nest Books’ full website inventory, not just children’s books. If you are looking specifically for children’s titles, you can use the filter on the website to refine your search.

Any purchases made using our code will directly benefit our school. Funds raised through the book fair will be used to support the purchase of future library resources.  

Staffing Update

We would also like to share a staffing update. Recently, additional funding was provided by the Government of Alberta to support the development of a Complexity Team within our school. This will allow us to better support students with diverse and complex learning needs. We are pleased to share that Tasha Roa will be stepping into the role of Complexity Team Teacher. We also warmly welcome Ms. Laurendeau to our staff, who will be joining us in a teaching role as part of this transition. 

All Visitors Sign In at Office

A reminder to help us ensure the safety of all students: all visitors are asked to sign in at the office when entering the school. As well, we have implemented a new process for student pick-up. Parents and guardians are required to come into the office and sign students out using the sign-out book before leaving the school.
