It was nice to see some spring weather this weekend. Hopefully, the snowstorms are all behind us now 😊Â
Support Staff Appreciation Week
This week is Support Staff Appreciation Week. We encourage students to take a moment to recognize and thank the many support staff who make a difference in our school each day. Our lunchsupervisors, educational assistants, library assistant, school assistants, and secretary all play an important role in supporting students. Their care, dedication, and daily efforts help create a positive and welcoming environment for everyone. We truly appreciate all that they do. Â
No School Friday
A quick note that Friday, April 24 is a Non-Instructional Day (NID). There is no school for students this day. Staff will be participating in learning connected to Maatsoomii’ Pookaiks, with a focus on Indigenous perspectives and learning on the land. We look forward to this important opportunity for professional learning and reflection. Â
Signing Out - Early Pick Up
We’d also like to share a reminder about our student sign-out procedures, as this is an important part of keeping our students safe. Â
If you need to pick your child up during the school day (including at lunch), please make sure the office is informed. A parent/guardian must sign the Sign-Out Book in the office. This is an important part of our accountability process and ensures we always know where students are during the school day. Â
When you arrive to pick up your child, please remain at the office and our staff will call them down to meet you. This helps limit interruptions to classroom learning and ensures we can account for all visitors in the building. These procedures help us keep students safe and ensure that only authorized adults are in the school and moving through our hallways.  Â
If your child usually takes the bus but will not be riding it home on a particular day, please let the office know. This helps us avoid delays while we account for all students.Â
Thank you for your support with this.  Â
Here’s to another great week of learning together!
