If you’re wondering whether it’s spring yet, you’re not alone. Between the sunshine and blue skies one day and blowing snow the next, Calgary weather continues to keep us guessing. Please continue to send students dressed for a range of conditions, as we head outside whenever we can.

Spring Concert

We wanted to take a moment to recognize last week’s Spring Concert. Both the afternoon and evening performances were very well attended, and it was great to see so many families there supporting our students.

We are really proud of our students for the courage and effort they showed. Performing in front of an audience is not easy, and they did an incredible job.

Thank you as well to our staff for their flexibility and support in helping everything come together. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make events like this run smoothly.

A special acknowledgement to Ms. Copithorne for all she brings to our music program. Her work is reflected in the growth and confidence we see in our students.

Next Year Planning

As we move through April, we are also beginning to look ahead to planning for next year. Last week, families received communication
regarding student intentions for the 2026–2027 school year. If you haven’t already done so, please complete the survey. Your input is important and helps us plan thoughtfully for our school community.

Visitors Sign In

A quick reminder to all visitors that, to help ensure the safety of our students, all adults entering the school are asked to sign in at the office. If you are picking up your child during the day, please come into the office to sign them out.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Here’s to another week of learning together.

Speech Language Pathology at Home Strategies Session

We wanted to share information about an upcoming two-part workshop series being offered by several CBE SLPs .

They will take place on April 20 and May 4 (4:00-5:00 PM).

The sessions will focus on strategies parents can use at home during shared book reading to support their children’s development across multiple areas, including vocabulary, grammar, and sound awareness. (This is a live online two-part series intended for caregivers of kindergarten, grade 1, and grade 2 students. Please note that children's attendance is not required.)
