Spring Break

Thank you to everyone who signed up for Student Learning Conferences and shared in the growth of their child(ren). Though we would have preferred to have you in the building exploring your child’s learning with them, it was still nice to engage in conversations about successes and next steps in learning.

We are happy to share that on March 20, 2025, the Calgary Board of Education Board of Trustees ratified the collective agreement with Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 40. The facility team at University School has been busy during Spring Break trying to get the school ready for when students return on Monday. March 31.

Spring Concert - April 10

We are getting ready for our annual Spring Concert! It is the time when families get to see the work that our students, from kindergarten to grade 6, are doing in music class. Students have been working hard, learning songs and playing instruments to share with you all!

Students must be at both performances to ensure quality performances for our guests.

Date: Thursday, April 10, in the school gym

Time: We will be doing 2 concerts on this day: 

•  Matinee/dress rehearsal at 1:00pm AND 
•  The evening performance at 6:30pm. 

More information will be coming out this upcoming week!

Planning for the 2025-26 School Year

We have already started planning for the 2025-26 school year. As part of this, it is important for us to gather accurate data about the number of students who will be attending University School as this can have impacts on things such as staffing, class sizes, and scheduling.

We ask that all families please complete this short form by Friday,  April 4, 2025, so that we can continue our planning for the upcoming school year.

University School Merchandise 

The opportunity to purchase University School Merchandise is back! In collaboration with Big Mountain Activewear, University School will again have an online store that features school merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies, hats, bags, pants, shorts etc. More information about the online store will be coming in the following weeks.
