Alice’s Alberta Energy Adventure
University School students were treated an incredible performance from Evergreen Theatre. Alice’s Alberta Energy Adventure introduces the sciecne and history of energy in Alberta while making numerous cross-curricular connections from science, social studies, language arts, health and fine arts all put together in an interactive and funny musical adventure.
This is the third year in a row we have had Evergreen Theatre come to share with us. A big thank you to School Council and Parent Association for helping make events like this possible!
Family Movie Night - Wild Robot - Feb 6
Thursday, February 6, is University School's Family Movie Night. We can't wait to watch the film The Wild Robot in the school gym with all of you. The doors will open at 5:45, movie starting at 6:00! Entry will be by donation because we want everyone to be able to attend. There will be a cash-only concession with treats like chips, drinks, and other sweets. Bring a blanket, pyjamas, friends, and some cash for the concession!

Fun Snack - Jelly Modern Doughnuts
Back by popular demand, the upcoming Fun Snack is from Jelly Modern Doughnut and is on Wednesday, February 12 because of the staff convention that week. Jelly Modern Doughnuts is offering five different flavours of doughnuts including vanilla, chocolate, smore, classic jelly, and a gluten sensitive chocolate option.
The last day to order your donuts is Friday, February 7 because of the earlier delivery date.

UES Escape Room
As a fun challenge for students, University School has created its own escape room with challenges being released each week. The first puzzle was shared on Wednesday and posted in a few spots around the school. Students and staff were not told about this as it was a surprise.
Ask your child if they saw one of the posters below and work with them to see if you can figure out where the next clue will be. Click on the picture to see a larger version of the poster.
Grade 2 Inquiry - Birds
Grade 2 students at University School had the pleasure of welcoming back Ms. Susanne who is a bird expert. This time she shared all about bluebirds and brought in a number of artifacts for students to examine and discuss.
